Witness Against Empire (WAE), formerly known as the War Industry Resisters Network (WIRN), is a producer of webinars that focus on the nature and consequences of the U.S. global empire and the resistance to it. 

For well over 4 years, WIRN webinars addressed all the various tentacles of the war industry, including the weapons corporations, media, think tanks, universities, financial institutions, domestic policing, and more. Areas of attention included Ukraine, Palestine, China, Cuba, Venezuela, the U.S. Borderlands, Cop City, the climate crisis, conversion of the war economy, and more.

As we move forward, WAE webinars will cover much of the same ground as events unfold, but will also more widely and directly include more issues related to U.S. imperialism & militarism, both foreign and domestic: endless war-making, sanctions, policing, surveillance, repression, political corruption, racism, oligarchy, and geopolitical power machinations.

But we will also very much highlight the hopeful movements that are arising to resist these malign forces at work in our world. Above all, we hope to provide an online anti-imperialist, anti-war community in order to increase our own knowledge, share resistance strategies, and nurture hope.

This webpage houses the recordings for the WAE and WIRN webinars. It reflects and offers informed perspectives on the many aspects and efforts of the U.S. empire to maintain its unipolar dominance. And the resistance to that.
